VRABE Announces the 2022 recipient is Dymotek Dynamic Molding Technologies, Inc.
Ellington, Conn. (June 30, 2022) –– VRABE is proud to announce the 2022 recipient is Dymotek Dynamic Molding Technologies, Inc. Dymotek was instrumental in establishing VRABE’s Pre-Apprenticeship Program, recently certified by the State of Connecticut’s Department of Apprenticeship Training. Dymotek assisted in academic curriculum development, scheduling, and the operational aspects of the program. They developed an outstanding on-the-job training plan for the students, who spent ~4 hours/week on the factory floor. Strong believers in education, always responsive and supportive, professional and generous with their time, Dymotek has truly earned the title John E. Ryan Friend of Adult Education!
The John E. Ryan Friend of Adult Education award is presented annually to an individual or organization that has provided support, encouragement, and/or individual expertise to VRABE Regional Adult Based Education and its students. The recipient must have provided demonstrable and extensive support to VRABE, and have shown a deep commitment to adult education that stands out in the level.
John E. Ryan worked for many years in the Connecticut State Department of Education as a Consultant responsible for Adult Education. He was known for his great devotion to program improvement and passionate advocacy for Connecticut’s adult students. He was instrumental in establishing VRABE, and transitioning Vernon to a Regional Provider of Adult Education. He subsequently became heavily involved with the Cornerstone Foundation, Inc. He is currently an Emeritus member of Cornerstone’s Board of Directors.
